Most turfgrass diseases are caused by pathogenic fungi that can invade leaves, stems, and roots of plants.
Successful disease management is contingent on early disease detection and a proper diagnosis.Knowledge of the environmental requirements for disease development, symptoms of disease, pathogen signs, and the diseases likely to affect any particular turfgrass species are the primary factors scouts use to detect diseases. Visual monitoring is essential to early detection and selection of a tatic that will effectively address each disease.
